MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:   Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with a major in counseling, social work, psychology, criminal justice, nursing, rehabilitation, special education, health education, or a related human services field (a related human services field is one in which major course work includes the study of human behavior and development).  Applicant must be able to pass an Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA) Medicaid and Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) Level II background screening, drug screening, and a Tuberculosis (TB) test. Applicant must have a valid driver’s license with no major violations and be able to be insured under BCI’s automobile policy.  

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:        BCI is seeking applicants that want to work with clients to effectively address clients' care by assessing needs, developing, monitoring, and facilitating interdisciplinary approaches that are impacted by the lack of basic housing in place. The RSC will provide referred clients with information, advice, and support to ensure that clients with disabilities and / or identified barriers live successfully in our communities. This position is responsible for managing an assigned caseload of clients having barriers to residential care in the community. 

The RSC works on-site and functions as the liaison between the property manager and the clients to secure stable housing and promote overall well-being. The RSC works in conjunction with the Families First Network (FFN) case worker and Department of Children and Families (DCF) staff, and the Okaloosa County Judicial System. Services are provided directly to the client, where they are. The RSC will provide intensive support and linkage to other community programs may also be required. Provide quality service to families referred by DCF/FFN; provide and document activities and other services in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).

The RSC will be required to travel for home visits and complete initial assessments face to face.  RSC will work primarily remotely within Okaloosa County. The RSC will be required to work with minimal supervision. RSC will maintain consistent records and documentation within EHR. The RSC will navigate the community and link to services according to needs and/or barriers to residential placement.

WORK LOCATION:    Remote work with some travel within Okaloosa County
WORK HOURS:   Mon – Fri; 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

WAGE:    The wage for this position is $17.00 per hour.
