Worthless Check Diversion

Worthless Check DiversionProbation Services contracts with the Office of the State Attorney to provide a Worthless Check Diversion Program.  Offenders charged with issuing a worthless check are referred to the Probation Services in lieu of appearing in court and to divert from prosecution. 

Offenders are given a 30-90 day extension to show proof of restitution and to pay a diversionary fee.  Probation Services collects all diversion fees and submits monthly financial reports to the Office of The State Attorney.

DUI & Substance Abuse

Courses and monitoring programs that meet court-ordered requirements for DUI or Substance Abuse offenses.

DUI Level I

DUI Level I is a course for first time DUI (Driving Under the Influence) or alcohol/substance abuse offenses in which the court or DHSMV requires completion of the course, evaluation, and treatment if required. The course is only available in the classroom and online registration is available. It is a twelve-hour course with a separate one hour substance abuse evaluation.

Registration for the Level I course is only available to clients that have never previously attended DUI School at any time, at any location or for any reason. Prior attendance to any DUI School requires you to register for Level II DUI School.


DUI Level II

DUI Level II is for those offenders who have had more than one DUI or alcohol/substance abuse offenses in which the court or DHSMV requires completion of DUI School. It is a twenty-one hour course with a separate one hour substance abuse evaluation.


Chemical Awareness Substance Education - CASE

This program is offered for anyone with a substance abuse related charge. It includes a 3-1/2 hour education class followed by a substance abuse screening. A referral to counseling may result from the screening. A urinalysis test is conducted on all clients as part of the screening.
