Our Driving School program offers DUI Courses and Special Supervision and Chemical Screening as court-ordered requirements. These programs are certified by the Florida Department of High Safety and Motor Vehicles (DHSMV).

Chemical Awareness Screening and Evaluation (CASE)

Chemical Awareness Screening and Evaluation (CASE) - This program is offered for anyone with a substance abuse related charge. It includes a 3 1/2 hour education class followed by a substance abuse screening. A referral to counseling may result from the screening. A urinalysis test is conducted on all clients as part of the screening.

Alcohol Breathalyzer Testing

Probation Services utilizes the AlCO-SENSOR III Intoximeter hand held breath alcohol testing devise designed to read breath alcohol concentration to test offenders for alcohol consumption. The machine displays a digital reading of the blood alcohol content of each offender tested. This service is free to our clients.

Group Counseling for Substance AbuseSubstance Abuse Counseling

A wide range of services and facilities designed to help the individual combat the disease of addiction and chemical dependency highlights the Addictions & Substance Abuse (A/SA) Program.

The outpatient program offers both group and individual counseling to court ordered clients and is designed to meet the individual client's needs in treatment. The length of stay is essentially determined by the therapist and individual client.

Individual counseling is provided and group sessions are held weekly at various times during the day and evenings. Random urinalysis may be a part of the treatment program as the goal of treatment is to maintain abstinence while developing a lifestyle conducive to living chemically free and in recovery. Batterers Intervention Program (BIP)

Bridgeway Center Inc. offers a certified Batter’s Intervention program. This comprehensive program is no less than 6 months in duration for court ordered individuals. Initially participants receive an in-depth assessment to ensure the most affective course of service. Group sessions are held once per week. The length of the program allows participants to develop, practice and give feedback on their newly developed skills. Domestic violence is a reality, help is available. Anger Management Program

Court-Ordered Anger ManagementBridgeway Center Inc. offers a 12 week comprehensive Anger Management Program for court ordered individuals. The focus is on identifying and accepting responsibility for the anger that may be interrupting daily lives or impacting the lives of others, identify triggers and develop healthy coping patterns. Participants are able to explore the pattern formation of their anger while given an opportunity to utilize newly learned skills. For more information, see Anger Management.

Individual & Group Counseling

Bridgeway Center Inc. offers a wide variety of services to include individual and group counseling. You are offered an initial individual assessment to help determine the best course of treatment for you. Help is available by the sworn probation officer monitoring the individual's compliance to their scheduled sessions and obtain progress reports from treatment agencies. Psychological Testing & Evaluation

Our Psychological Testing services offer evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of psychological disorders through a highly qualified clinical psychologist for individuals court-ordered to obtain a psychological evaluation.

Our process begins with an initial intake appointment utilizing the time to lay the foundational work. The individual’s evaluation provides in-depth insight about what is causing difficulties, because things aren't always what they appear to be. This insight is gained by using the best nationally standardized test batteries.

If recommended, individuals must comply with court ordered treatment.  A consultation will be provided with evaluation results, conclusions and recommendations. For more information about testing and psychological disorders, see Psychological Testing.

Psychiatric Evaluation & Medication Management

Bridgeway Center's Psychiatric Services offers outpatient psychiatric assessments and medication monitoring for individuals court ordered to obtain a psychiatric evaluation.  Compliance with all recommended treatment is a condition of an individual’s court ordered requirements. Urinalysis Testing offered by Bridgeway ProbationUrinalysis Testing

Urinalysis testing is provided to offenders on a random basis or as ordered by the court. There is no initial cost for this service unless the offender has a positive result for substance use. Bridgeway Center uses REDITEST One Step Substance Abuse Screening Device.  A fee is only taxed against to the offender for a positive urinalysis in addition to a possible violation of probation.

Financial Money Management Course

This course is available for individual’s court ordered to obtain assistance in budgeting and managing their income and expenses.  A three hour educational curriculum provides education for individuals who write worthless checks or whom the court has identified needs financial management assistance.  The minimal fee of $25.00 is assessed to the individual.

Victim ServicesVictim Restitution, Counseling and Referral

The Probation Department provides services to victims of misdemeanor crimes through collection of restitution, referrals to counseling, or by referring victims to free outpatient counseling or the Victim’s Compensation Fund Agency.

Sexual Offender Data Research

Judicial Services operated our Sexual Offender locator system in 2005 for all offenders monitored by our agency.  One year prior to legislative requirements, Judicial Services began researching the Florida Department of Law Enforcement website to identify sexual offenders placed on probation. All offenders are identified by digital photo with indicators to assist with ensuring appropriate offender placement is made with community service work, job placement or treatment programs.

Case Management, Referral and Monitoring

Probation Services offers a wide range of case management for maximum, medium, administrative level, special court and diversionary supervision programs.  Sworn Probation Officers meet individually with each offender, monitoring the offender's progress towards completing their court order requirements and notifies the court accordingly of all compliance and non compliance actions.
