The Crisis Hotline/Rape Crisis Center and Sexual Trauma Team help people in crisis under the leadership of two gifted leaders.

The team members of Bridgeway's Crisis Hotline and Sexual Trauma Team answer thousands of calls each year, assist victims of violence or sexual assault with finding the services they need, and ultimately contribute to making Okaloosa County a safer and more caring place to live. In this month's spotlight, we present the two leaders of these programs, Kaye Petralia and Susan Guilian.

Ms. Petralia came to BCI in 2007 after serving 7 years as the Victim's Advocate for the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office. She started with BCI as an Adult Case Manager and was recently promoted to Rape Crisis Center Supervisor. She brings her expertise in advocacy to the BCI Rape Crisis Center.

Kaye holds a Victim Services Practitioner Designation from the State of Florida and has received advanced training from the National Organization for Victim Assistance in Crisis Response. Kaye is a member of the Florida Crisis Response Team.

In her new position, Kaye will be overseeing the coordination of BCI's Sexual Trauma Team (STT). The STT consists of specialty trained local volunteers providing 24/7, 365 days a year response to victims of sexual assault.

Susan Guilian, Assistant Program Director of Community Care ServicesSusan Guilian

Ms. Guilian began her career with Bridgeway Center (BCI) in 1994 as a Behavioral Trainer. During her tenure, she was promoted to a Targeted Case Manager in 1997 and has assumed the leadership role of several positions before being promoted to Community Care Program Manager in 2005.

In 2007, Susan's knowledge and experience earned her the position of Assistant Program Director of Community Care Services which includes the clinical oversight of BCI's Crisis Hotline. The Crisis Hotline is a team of trained local volunteers providing 24/7, 365 days a year confidential telephone crisis intervention services to the community.
