Title: IP Behavioral Health Technician

Qualifications: High School diploma or GED preferred. Experience with mental health and/or substance abuse treatment helpful. Applicant must pass a Level II DCF criminal background screening and drug test.
A full-time position is presently available on a 16-bed inpatient mental health/detox unit for an individual with a High School diploma, GED or higher education. Position consists of assisting and providing direct care to mental health and substance abuse patients. Candidate must be able to multi-task, have excellent documentation and computer skills, as well as superb customer service and telephone skills. Duties include helping patients adjust to the inpatient unit, meeting their needs for daily living, providing a safe environment, conducting groups, performing general cleaning of the inpatient unit, as well as assisting with admissions and discharges and monitoring patient meal times.
***Applicant must meet the minimum requirements to be considered for this position. Applicant must be willing to work weekends and some holidays. NO EXCEPTIONS.***
